BREAKDOWN
GEORGIA
Female, 20. Any ethnicity. Finishing high school at her own pace, she’s a passionate member of the Youth Conservation Corps at Joshua Tree National Park. An experienced and knowledgeable outdoorsman, eager to share her tricks of the trade. She’s maybe not so experienced and knowledgeable interpersonally.
ARJUN
Male, early-mid 30s. Indian-American associate professor of ethnic studies at USC. Long-term partner of MEL. Intrinsically curious about the world around him. Social media junkie. Caring, though he’s not necessarily warm.
MEL
Female, late 30s-early 40s. Any ethnicity. Previously a hot-shot journalist/blogger, she’s making the transition to fiction writing. Long-term partner of ARJUN. Compassionate, cool, comfortable when she’s in control. Surprised and perhaps a little disappointed in the way her life has turned out.
