BREAKDOWN
Norway Vikings:
Baus – He is high status…well, higher than GÖB anyway. In the absence of their regular crew, BAUS has assumed the mantle of leader. He is in every sense the “Boss Clown” of the duo. He is consistently embarrassed by GÖB’s ineptitude and apologizes repeatedly to the crowd in an effort to save face. Though BAUS is frustrated by GÖB and his failed attempts to follow simple instructions, BAUS himself is just as inept and in most cases, is revealed to be the true fool despite his laughable stabs at sophistication.
Gob – The “Gooble” of the two. He freely accepts his lower status and willingly follows BAUS wherever he leads…partly out of respect, but mostly because he doesn’t want the additional responsibility of being in charge. GÖB is an eager participant in the struggle to communicate, offering suggestions and demonstrations, whether they have been requested or not. Ultimately, GÖB’s innocence and sweet disposition are the perfect balance to BAUS’s gruff demeanor.
