Two contrasting Shakespeare monologues, 3 minutes total. Please bring your headshot and resume stapled together.

SEEKING:
- CLAUDIO: Male presenting. 20’s. Any ethnicity. A young soldier who has recently returned from war. Claudio falls in love with Hero.
- MARGARET: Female presenting. Any ethnicity. 20’s-30’s. Hero’s serving woman. She unwittingly becomes involved in Don John's plot. Double cast TBD.
- URSULA: Female presenting. Any ethnicity. 20’s-30’s. One of Hero’s waiting women. Double cast TBD.
- BORACHIO: Any gender. Any ethnicity. All ages. An associate of Don John. He conspires with Don John to trick Claudio. His name means “drunkard” in Italian.
- ANTONIO: Male presenting. Any ethnicity. 60’s-80’s. Leonato’s elderly brother and Hero’s uncle. Double cast TBD.
- BALTHASAR: Any gender. Any age. A waiting person in Leonato’s household and a musician. Double cast TBD.
- BENEDICK: Male presenting. Any ethnicity. 30’s-40’s. Benedick is a soldier recently returned from the war along with Don Pedro and best friend Claudio. Benedick is charming, always making jokes and puns.
- HERO: Female presenting. Any ethnicity. 20’s. Daughter of Leonato and cousin to Beatrice. Hero is loving, gentle, and kind.
- BEATRICE: Female presenting. Any ethnicity. 20’s-40’s. Beatrice is a strong willed woman, with a sharp wit and spirit.
- DON PEDRO: Male presenting. Any ethnicity. 30’s-50’s. An important nobleman, sometimes referred to as “Prince.” Don Pedro is a longtime friend of Leonato.
- LEONATO: Male presenting. Any ethnicity. 50’s-60’s. The governor of Messina. Leonato is the father of Hero and the uncle of Beatrice.
- DON JOHN: Male presenting. Any ethnicity. 20’s-30’s. The illegitimate brother of Don Pedro. He is the villain of the play. Double cast TBD.
- DOGBERRY: Any Gender. Any age 30+. The constable in charge of the Watch.
- VERGES: Any Gender. Any age. A member of the Watch. Dogberry’s right hand person. Double cast with TBD.
- CONRADE: Male presenting. Any ethnicity. Any age. One of Don John’s close associates, entirely devoted to Don John. Double cast TBD.
- FRIAR FRANCIS: Any Gender. Any age. The priest who married the lovers, and is the voice of reason in the show. Double cast TBD.
- SEXTON: Any gender. Any age. Leads the trial against the villains. Double cast TBD.
