Master Fenton is a young, good-looking gentleman with a bit of a wild past who became very attracted to Anne Page when he discovered how rich her father is.

Sir Hugh Evans is a Welsh parson and the schoolmaster of Windsor; he has not lost his very heavy accent either in English or in Latin, which is a source of much amusement to the others.

Doctor Caius is a French physician, a short-tempered, easily offended man who is wooing Anne Page and does not wish to see anyone else moving in on her.

Host of the Garter Inn is a rather merry innkeeper who is incapable of saying anything simply and likes showing off how many words he knows.

SEEKING:

Henry II is Cast. Henry is the husband of Eleanor of Aquitaine and the father of Richard, Geoffrey, and John. He also has taken Alais Capet as his mistress. In his fifties, Henry is nearing the years when most men of that age died; however, he still has remarkable vigor and wit, as well as physical prowess. His clear favorite for his successor is his son, John, but his main desire is to keep his kingdom together after his death.

Eleanor of Aquitaine is Cast. The wife of Henry II and mother of Richard, Geoffrey, and John, Eleanor is a strong and powerful woman in her own right. She is still beautiful and still in many ways in love with her husband, although he keeps her in prison most of the time. She is a danger to Henry because of her strength and intelligence; and she champions the fight for Richard to be the next king.

Richard, male presenting, 20s. Eldest son of Richard and Eleanor. Filled with bravado and self-esteem, though it masks a more vulnerable side.

Geoffrey, male presenting, 20s. Middle son of Richard and Eleanor. Filled with intellect and cunning, but resentment for how his parents seem to favor one of his brothers or the other is what drives him the most.

John, male presenting, late teens. Youngest son of Richard and Eleanor. Filled with all of Richard’s bravado and self-esteem, though Richard has earned his on the battlefield and John is yet to do so. Very eager for the love and acceptance of his parents and brothers.

Alais, female presenting, early 20s. While Henry’s concubine, she is actually very much in love with him. She is in fact promised to Richard at the start of the play, something she and Henry haven’t yet figured out how to resolve. As much as she loves Henry, she knows his love for her is her only leverage and she intends to use it.

Philip, male presenting, late teens. King of France and brother to Alais. Quiet and intense, and far more savvy than anyone gives him credit.
