All actors will play various ensemble roles in addition to these main roles.
Baptista (male, 50-60): Curtis, Haberdasher
Petruchio (male, 30-40): Confident and self assured, suitor to Katharina
Katharina (female, 25-35): Strong minded and sometimes violent
Bianca (female, 18-25): Younger sister to Katharina, pleasant, affable, and somewhat flirty
Lucentio (male, 18-25): Suitor to Bianca, clever, determined, callow
Grumio (male, 30-40): Servant to Petruchio
Tranio (male, 30-40): Servant to Lucentio

The play is a fast moving ensemble piece with the three performers changing roles very quickly. Strong comic timing is a must.
