Actors auditioning should prepare a classical monologue, preferably by
Shakespeare. Bring picture and resume.

BREAKDOWN

The production if physically rigorous for all members of the ensemble. All actors should have combat and/or dance experience in addition to strong linguistic skills. We need strong fighters and physical actors in all male roles except for Julius Caesar. Actors of all ethnicities and gender identities are encouraged.

4. Mark Antony/Plebeian (male, early 30s – late 40s)

5. Decius Brutus/Cobbler/Plebeian/Ensemble (male, mid 30s – late 40s)

6. Trebonius/Plebeian/Ensemble (Male, mid 20s – mid 30s)

7. Casca/Plebeian/Ensemble (male, early 30s – late 40s)

8. Metellus Cimber/Plebeian/Ensemble (male, mid 30s – late 40s)

9. Caius Ligarius/Lepidus/Plebeian/Ensemble (male, late 40s – early 60s)

10. Cinna the conspirator/Plebeian/Ensemble (male, mid 30s – late 40s)

11. Cicero/Plebeian/Ensemble (female or gender non-conforming, late 30s – late 50s)

12. Octavius Caesar/Carpenter/Plebeian/Ensemble (male, early 20s – late 20s)

13. Lucius/Plebeian/Ensemble (male, early 20s – early 30s) – This actor needs to sing and play the violin ideally. We could consider other stringed instruments if need be. Ideally he should read as young as a teenager but no older than late 20s.

14. Portia/Poet in 4.3/Plebeian/Ensemble (female, late 20s – early 40s) – She should be an actor who can sing.

15. Calphuria/Plebeian/Ensemble (female, early 30s – late 40s)

16. Artemidorus/Caesar & Antony Servant Track/Plebeian/Ensemble (female, late 20s to early 40s).

17. Cinna the Poet/Caesar & Octavius Servant Track/Plebeian/Ensemble (male or gender non-conforming, early – late 20s person of color. The soul of a poet.

18. Soothsayer/Plebeian/Ensemble - young girl (around 7 years old) – person of color.
