Breakdown
Intiman Theatre’s 2016 Festival is devoted to celebrating black female playwrights at venues across the city of Seattle. The theatre and co-curator Valerie Curtis-Newton are currently looking for an ensemble of actors for Lydia R. Diamond’s STICK FLY and Alice Childress’s play WEDDING BAND.
Please note these are separate productions and will not be performed in repertory.
Roles will not be understudied.
Intiman Theatre will produce these plays at theaters off of the Seattle Center campus, with Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute and The Jones Playhouse at University of Washington under consideration. STICK FLY will be directed by Justin Emeka and WEDDING BAND will be directed by 2016 Co-Curator Valerie Curtis-Newton.
