Seeking
Equity/non-equity Adult singers and singers who dance.

Preparation
Prepare short song, preferably 1970s or later in style. Pop renditions of traditional Christmas songs are also encouraged. Bring picture and resume stapled together. Callbacks will immediately follow appointments. Actors should be prepared to cold read or dance, if the character warrants.

First rehearsal on/about November 17; show opens November 28 and closes December 23

Breakdown

Mrs. Pinklegrass – Simon’s teacher with a heart of gold, and the single mother of his classmate, Suzy.

Mom (Alice) – Simon’s mother. Struggling to figure out what is best for her troubled son. Must have great pop voice.

Dad (George) – Simon’s father. A missing figure in Simon’s life and the reason for Simon’s poor behavior. Doubles as Older Simon in Christmas future. Tenor. Ability to rap (poorly) a plus.

Harold the Goldfish/Older Morris – The ghost of Simon’s deceased gold fish. Doubles as Older Morris, Simon’s employee in Christmas future. Great comedic timing.

Ensemble – Parents, backup singers, etc. Great singers/movers.
