SEEKING
Equity actor/singers for various principal roles for Horizon Theatre's 2018 production of Freaky Friday. Atlanta-based actors or actors who have Atlanta housing and are able to work as local jobbers are highly encouraged to audition.
PREPARATION
Sides will be provided. Prepare a song that shows your range from a contemporary musical. Be prepared with two additional contrasting musical selections. If you have not been seen at Horizon before, please also prepare a contemporary comedic monologue. Please bring two photos and resumes..

BREAKDOWN
Actors of all ethnicities are encouraged to audition for all roles.
Katherine Blake:
Female, 40-49. A single mother who runs her own catering business. Overprotective and Type A, she believes she can have it all by doing it all: event planning, designing, and catering her own perfect wedding. Must also portray Ellie in Katherine's body. Strong belter.
Ellie Blake:
Female, teenager. (Adult 18+ who can play teen). A rumpled, disorganized everygirl. She is smart, funny, and passionate about her school's underground scavenger hunt, but sees herself as a Whats-her-name, and easily forgotten, unlike her perfect mom. Must also portray Katherine in Ellie's body. Strong belter.
Fletcher Blake:
Male, 8 Katherine's eccentric son and Ellie's younger brother. He is a budding puppeteer who habitually annoys his sister (but secretly looks up to her). Must sing.
Mike Riley
40-49. Katherine's fiance and a contracter by trade. A warm, reliabel guy. He adores Katherine and her kids. Also Parker's Dad, Security Guard and Savannah Back-Up Singer. Bari-Tenor.
Adam:
Male, teen. (Adult 18+ who can play teen). Love interest for Ellie. Slouchy and scruffy, he is a paragon of adorable cool. Acts as the “List Master” of the school’'s annual underground scavenger hunt. Tenor.
Male Ensemble:
Adults 18+ of all ethnicities and ages. Seeking actors who sing. Each will play a variety of roles, which may include both teen and adult roles. Roles include: Grandpa Gordon, Louie Snaps- Photographer, Pastor Bruno, Mr. Blumen- High School teacher, Wells- High School student, Parker- High School student, Parker's Dad, Senor O'Brien- High School Spanish teacher, Officer Kowalski, Fish Vendor, Wedding Party, Students/Teachers
Female Ensemble:
Adults 18+ of all ethnicities and ages. Seeking actors who sing. Each will play a variety of roles, which may include both teen and adult roles. Roles include: Torrey-Katherine's assistant, Savannah-high school student, Grandma Helene, Hannah- High School student, Gretchen- High School student, Ms. Meyers-High School teacher; Alexandra Daniel- Journalist, Adam's Mom, Savannah's Mom, Mrs. Luckenbill, Mrs. Time, Officer Sitz, Catering Waiter, Dr. Ehrin-School Counselor, Wedding Party, Students/Teachers.
