Theatre, where it opened on March 11, 1954.[1] The musical transferred to Broadway on April 20, 1954, at the Alvin Theater where it played for only 125 performances despite rave reviews.
Homer's mythical tale of Penelope and Ulysses is relocated to the small town of Angel's Roost in Washington State between 1900 and 1910, during the years of the Spanish-American War. The show satirizes cultural attitudes and icons of the time and place, and is entirely sung and danced through.

THE GOLDEN APPLE IS ENTIRELY SUNG THROUGH, THERE IS NO DIALOGUE.
THE STYLE OF SINGING FOR ALL CHARACTERS IS VERY LEGIT UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
