Equity actors for roles in Door Shakespeare's 2023 Summer Season (See breakdown).

PREPARATION

Please prepare a brief Shakespeare monologue, and 16 bars of a folk song or musical theatre piece. Actor-musicians who play multiple instruments are also encouraged to prepare a brief piece for any instrument on which they are stage proficient. We are particularly interested in seeing you accompany yourself while singing. However, an accompanist and piano will be in the audition room. If you choose piano accompaniment, please bring sheet music in your key. When preparing for your audition, please take into consideration your appointment time. All material should fit within the 3 minute time period. Please bring a headshot and resume stapled together.

Door Shakespeare’s summer season will be performed in repertory, outside in the Garden of Björklunden, Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin.

EPA Procedures are in effect for this audition. An Equity Monitor will be provided.

BREAKDOWN

Equity encourages everyone participating in the auditions to wear a two-ply cloth face mask, surgical mask, singer’s mask or respirator (N95, KN95 or KF94). Single-ply face masks, gaiters and bandanas are not recommended. Singer’s masks can be found at www.broadwayreliefproject.com/singersmask.

Equity encourages members to prepare for their audition prior to arriving at the audition venue, to the extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and dressing rooms.
