GUS - 50s plus. Gruff but loveable. Strong actor. Singer. Baritone (Ed Asner type).

Preparation
32 bars of both a ballad and an up-tempo Broadway song that shows range and diversity (humor). Provide sheet music for accompanist. Be prepared to read sides and move if requested. Bring two headshots/resumés. Know schedule availability for the rehearsal and performance period.

Other Dates
Rehearsals begin 10/27. Show opens on 12/5 and runs thru 12/21. Performances will begin at 8:00pm on Fridays, 2:00pm and 8:00pm on Saturdays, and 2:00pm on Sundays. There will also be one performance on Monday, December 15th, at 8:00pm.

Breakdown

The annual Citrus Village Christmas show is in a slump. With just the right amount of spunk and holiday know-how, newcomer Amy may just have what it takes to get things back on track. But first she must convince the town’s quirky Christmas committee – a surly band of misfits – that the season is more than just personal agendas and citrus-themed activities. In an original world premiere musical overflowing with song, dance and laughs, our holiday heroine must come to the rescue before it’s too late!
