SEEKING
AEA actors for 2018 season (Quixote, Everybody, The War of the Roses). Local hires preferred.
PREPARATION
Please prepare one monologue, either contemporary or Shakespeare in verse, not to exceed 3 minutes (please note auditions will be timed). Please bring 2 copies of headshot & resume, stapled together.

Auditions will be held in accessible Rehearsal Hall at Cal Shakes administrative offices. Parking available in designated lot and adjacent street parking. Please follow posted signs to check-in area.

Season will be cast holistically and with an emphasis on ensemble casts. Actors of color, actors with disabilities, actors
of all ages, and trans & non-binary actors encouraged to attend.
For QUIXOTE:
Casting all roles in 8-10 person ensemble; specifically interested in seeing Latinx performers, Spanish-speaking
performers, singers, and musicians. Breakdown TBD.
For EVERYBODY:
Casting all roles in 9-10 person ensemble reflecting the diversity of humanity. 6 members of the cast will be part of a lottery each evening to determine casting assignments, including the role of Everybody. Breakdown TBD.
For THE WAR OF THE ROSES:
Casting all roles in 10-12 person ensemble. Production will be an original, evening-length adaption of
Henry VI, Parts1-3 and Richard III . Ensemble members will take on a wide variety of roles throughout the evening. Breakdown TBD.
