Please prepare EITHER two 1-minute contrasting monologues OR one 1-minute monologue and 16 bars of a song. An accompanist will be provided.

Major-Domo- Well groomed member of Merteuil's household.
Le Vicomte De Valmont- Charming, elegant, and manipulative.
Azolan- Valmont's valet, a dapper young man.
Madame De Rosemonde- Valmont's aunt, 84 years old, intelligent, practical, lively

White Snake- a shape-shifting serpent who comes to life in the human world, using magic to appear as a human. Curious, studious, attentive.
Green Snake - a mischievous, plucky snake and companion to the White Snake. Loyal.
Xu Xian - an assistant pharmacist. Humble.
Sister/Ensemble - Xian's sister.
Fai Hai - a Buddhist monk. Self-righteous, corrupt, & intolerant, he is the head of a Buddhist Monastery.
Brother-in-Law- the brother-in-law to Xu Xian.

Martha- A divorced, disturbed, self-centered alcoholic who fears and hates her daughter but loves her son so much, she drinks whenever he's not around.
Henry- Martha's son. 18. Gives up school to keep his mother on the straight and narrow.
Mia- Martha's daughter. 15. Privilege and spoilt girl attending boarding school.
Izzy- Mia's friend. 15.
Alice- A girl at boarding school drugged by Mia and Izzy. 13.
Hugh- Mia and Henry's father. Wealthy broker. Lives in Hong Kong with his new family.

Violet Trace - An unlicensed beautician. Joe's wife. Nicknamed 'Violent' because she assaulted the corpse of Joe's lover.
Joe Trace - A door-to-door cosmetics salesman and the murderer of his young lover.
Dorcas - Joe's young love, shot down at a party.
Alice Manfred - Dorcas' aunt and guardian. A conservative Christian ashamed by her niece's behavior. Enters into an unusual friendship with Violet.
Felice - a friend of Dorca's who goes to the Trace household in search of answers.
Golden Gray - a mixed race man from the 19th century, involved in Violet and Joe's histories.
Ensemble- Townspeople/musicians 20's-50's.
