Breakdown

ALEXANDER HAMILTON
(Male, Late teens, Early 20s): The founding father in his formative years, having recently arrived in the colonies. Charming, whip-smart, quick on his toes, Hamilton is keen to make a name for himself and not afraid to go after the things he wants. He is aware of his humble beginnings and eager to join the upper classes.

CRISTIAN
(Male, Late teens): Dominican-American. An NYC kid suddenly transplanted to New Jersey. Cristian is smart, but a class clown. He uses humor as a defense mechanism and is a fish out of water in his new surroundings. Projects a certain amount of bravado. Intellectually curious and struggling to balance his school life with his complicated family life.

KITTY LIVINGSTON/JENNIFER
(Female, Late teens-Early 20s): KITTY: Bright, precocious, and ahead of her time. Kitty is William Livingston’s daughter. She’s headstrong and constrained by the role of women in Colonial America. Deeply curious about Alexander Hamilton. A rebel. JENNIFER: Cristian’s tutor and crush. She’s smart, kind, and shy, but also driven and believes in making a difference.

WILLIAM LIVINGSTON/LOGAN
(Male, Late 40s): LIVINGSTON: The soon-to-be 1st elected Governor of New Jersey. Livingston is erudite, a traditionalist, and persnickety. He’s used to getting his way and is a staunch advocate of propriety. Dry sense of humor and an air of confidence. LOGAN: Cristian’s history teacher. He’s the sort of teacher who inspires students and believes passionately in making a difference. Funny, geeky, genuinely good-hearted.

AARON BURR/BURGESS/BILLY
(Late teens to Early 20s): AARON BURR: Hamilton’s budding rival. A few years older than Alexander, accustomed to winning, smart, but knows it. Arrogant and classist. BILLY: Jennifer’s boyfriend. A straight-A student, the kid whose hand always goes up first in class. Not used to being challenged or thinking outside of the box. BURGESS: The young energetic museum director of Liberty Hall Museum. A scattered, but eager history enthusiast who’s always excited to share the museum’s secrets.
