PREPARATION

Please prepare 1-minute of a song and a 1- minute monologue. Also, please bring your headshot and resume stapled together. Be prepared to come to a dance call, if asked, from 5:10pm- 6:10pm. If you are unable to attend this in-person audition, you are welcome to submit a video audition. Please see breakdown for details.

SEEKING:

Warbucks (baritone, male-identified, any ethnicity) – A successful businessman with a warm heart. Rich, stiff-collared, bullish.

Grace Ferral (soprano, female-identified, any ethnicity) – Faithful secretary to Mr. Oliver Warbucks. Poised, sweet, gentle.

Rooster (baritone/tenor, male-identified, any ethnicity) – Miss Hannigan’s no-good brother looking for a quick buck. A sleazy, slick con man.

Lilly St Regis (soprano, female-identified, any ethnicity) – Rooster’s girlfriend, who is also out for a quick buck.

Burt Healy (baritone/tenor, male-identified, any ethnicity) – The ultimate radio personality. He helps Annie by broadcasting about the search for her birth parents.

Ensemble:

Servants (various voice ranges, male and female-identified characters, any ethnicity) – The servants at the Warbucks mansion.

The following roles are already cast but we will still accept submissions:

Annie: a complex, tough, streetwise urchin who is surprisingly vulnerable when she thinks she might lose what has become most important to her: her newfound family. Acts motherly, independent, overwhelmed and hopeful. Strong vocally and musically and lights up the stage in Tomorrow!

Molly: youngest orphan. Best friends with Annie

Pepper: orphan. tough and bossy. Clashes with Annie.

Duffy: orphan. tallest and most mature of the orphans.

July: quietest orphan who goes along with the crowd.

Tessie: orphan. most emotional – cries or laughs easily.

Kate: Shyest orphan who is friends with everyone.

Miss Hannigan: a definite has-been. Her distaste for her job should ooze from every line she delivers. Excellent comic timing. Has a strong versatile singing voice and is a character that is larger than life.
