Seeking
EXCELLENT TECHNICALLY TRAINED DANCERS (especially in ballet) FOR upcoming and future replacements

Preparation
Please come warmed up and prepared to dance. Women should bring ballet shoes and character shoes. If you dance en pointe, please bring the appropriate shoes and be prepared to dance en pointe. Men should bring ballet shoes and jazz shoes. (INFO CONTINUED IN BREAKDOWN)

Other Dates
Show is currently running. Some replacements will begin rehearsal in Mid September; we are actively seeking future replacements as well.

PREPARATION INFO CONTINUED: If you sing, please be prepared to sing 16 bars of a song you feel best fits your voice. Gershwin or traditional musical theatre material is preferable.

SEEKING
[FEMALE BALLET DANCERS] Females of ALL ETHNICITIES; late teens to 30s. Must have excellent technique and ballet training with significant pointe experience. Excellent ballet dancer physique. Must also be comfortable with jazz. Tap skills a plus but not required for all tracks. Some singing a plus but not required for all tracks. Some female ballet dancers in the ensemble will cover the principal role of LISE (see character description below). ENSEMBLE

[FEMALE JAZZ DANCERS] Females of ALL ETHNICITIES; late teens to 30s. Must have excellent dance technique, including ballet training. Excellent dancer physique. Tap skills are also required. Must have significant singing ability. Some ensemble dancers will cover principal roles. ENSEMBLE

[MALE BALLET DANCERS] Males of ALL ETHNICITIES; late teens to 30s. Must have excellent technique and ballet training. Must be a very strong partner. Should also be comfortable with jazz. Tap skills a plus but not required for all tracks. Some singing a plus but not required for all tracks. Certain male ballet dancers in the ensemble will cover the principal role of JERRY MULLIGAN (see character description below). ENSEMBLE

[MALE JAZZ DANCERS] Males of ALL ETHNICITIES; late teens to 30s. Must have excellent dance technique and should have some ballet training. Partner skills a plus. Must also have tap ability. Should have significant singing ability. Certain male dancers in the ensemble will cover the principal roles of ADAM HOCHBERG and HENRI BAUREL. ENSEMBLE

Certain ensemble dancers also cover the following principal roles:

[JERRY MULLIGAN] Male, 20s. Must be an EXCELLENT ballet dancer who also has strong jazz ability. Attractive, masculine, and charismatic, Jerry is an American GI who chooses to stay in Paris to study painting and further his artistic aspirations. He is charming, spontaneous, and playful yet still a bit callow. Singing and acting experience a plus, but please submit elite ballet dancers regardless of prior singing/acting experience. PRINCIPAL

[LISE DASSIN] Female, late teens to 20s. Must be an EXCELLENT ballet dancer. Beautiful, ethereal, elegant and expressive, Lise is quite guarded after the time she spent in hiding during the Nazi occupation of France. She is very passionate, yet private with a profound inner dignity. Singing and acting ability a plus, but please submit elite ballet dancers regardless of prior singing/acting experience. PRINCIPAL
