What a Young Wife Ought to Know, written by Hannah Moscovitch, kicks off Theatre Network's 2018- 2019 this November!
Beginning previews November 13 and opening November 15, What a Young Wife Ought to Know will play at The Roxy until December 2, 2018.
The show features Merran Carr-Wiggin, Bobbi Goddard & Cole Humeny. What a Young Wife Ought to Know is directed by Marianne Copithorne, costume and set designed by Tessa Stamp, and Lighting designed by Scott Peters.
What a Young Wife Ought to Know is inspired by true stories about young women in the early 20th century during the birth control movement. What a Young Wife Ought to Know tells the story of Sophie, a young working class woman in Ottawa, and she faces that information of sexual heath is withheld from her. It is clear that her society has refused to acknowledge her as a person with desire, lust, and passion.
