BroadwayWorld has a first look at Berkeley Repertory Theatre's The Good Book. After bringing the successful production of An Iliad to theatres around the country including Berkeley Rep, Tony Award-winner Denis O'Hare and Obie Award-winner and Associate Director Lisa Peterson are teaming up once again to unearth the all-too-human formation of the most influential book in Western history - the Bible. In addition to collaborating with O'Hare on the script, Petersen will also direct The Good Book.

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater recently opened the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and author Ayad Akhtar's (Arena's Disgraced) timely tale Junk. Inspired by the real junk bond giants of the 1980s, Akhtar explores how the riveting, hostile takeover of a family-owned manufacturing company paved the way to expose the rise of greed, power, race and wealth that led to reshaping the rules of Wall Street and the world. Directed by Jackie Maxwell, Junk runs April 5 - May 5, 2019 in the Fichandler Stage.

Virginia Repertory Theatre announces the opening of Atlantis: A New Musical on Friday, April 12, 2019 at the November Theatre/Arenstein Stage, 114 West Broad Street. The show will run through Sunday, May 5, 2019. Previews will be on Wednesday, April 10 and Thursday, April 11, 2019.
