Savage: The Unconquerable Wanda Savage is a musical drama exploring the life of Chickasaw sharpshooter and silent film actress Wanda Savage, depicted as a strong and independent woman navigating the complexities of Chickasaw tradition and the entertainment industry in early 20th century America. With a book by Nicolette Blount and Lindel Hart, and music and lyrics by Nicolette Blount, the story illustrates Wanda's journey of survival and resistance while challenging societal stereotypes. This production is part of the inaugural First Storyteller's Festival at Creative Nations, which showcases emerging Indigenous artists and their stories.
