PREBLE PLAYERS

3668 Concord Fairhaven Rd.
Eaton, OH 45320

About the Theatre

Preble Players began as a dream, developed into a plan, and became a reality when Founder and Board President Lisa Marling founded the non-profit theatre in 2018. Its founding board members included Lisa Marling, Scott Marling, Elaine Buckler, Christina Waxler, December Harper, and Starla Wing. From 2018 to mid-2020, it was known as The Star Theatre at Eagles Point and leased the auditorium in Eaton’s old high school. When the pandemic turned the world upside down in 2020, the board eventually decided to rebrand as Preble Players and take the shows on the road.

Preble Players is an Ohio non-profit organization and federally recognized 501(c)(3) entity bringing performing arts, educational opportunities, and other community outreach events to Preble County and the region.

Feature: Burgers from Five Guys? Nah! Quiche from Five Lesbians? Yeah!

by Brennan Paulin - April 11, 2024

Let’s face it, the world of theatre, at times, can be misogynistic. Even though we joke about the multitude of gay men that are involved in theatre, that does not mean it is exempt from the repercussions of “the patriarchy”. As a gay man myself, I understand this problem all too well, but here in Da...
