THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS - PAGE 2

BIO:
This year They Might Be Giants are celebrating their 30th anniversary as a band. Yes, it is their pearl anniversary, and they are actively wondering what practical things are made of pearl. They Might Be Giants is an original band from Brooklyn, New York founded by John Flansburgh and John Linnell. TMBG writes, records and tours continuously, has been involved in numerous television and film projects. They have an on-going audio and sometimes video podcast that is free. They have won two Grammys. The Johns are frequently joined by Dan Miller on guitar, Danny Weinkauf on bass, and Marty Beller on drums. In July 2012 They Might Be Giants released the 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of their first album for kids, No! It includes seven bonus tracks that are actually good, including a full length recording of the song Alphabet of Nations. Currently TMBG is producing an international crowd-sourced video to promote the Global Fund for Children. If you hail from a far away place, or know people in far away places–we need a photo of your flag and your face! Check out the Alphabet of Nations photo challenge video (the description has all the info) and submit on Twitter @tmbg (be sure to include the hashtag #TMBGnation) or on the Alphabet of Nations Tumblr. For the complete TMBG discography, visit their newly redesigned Music page. They Might Be Giants are also hard at work on their next set of releases, an iPhone app and other secret enterprises all due to arrive late in the year and in early 2013. For a complete almost day-to-day history of everything TMBG have ever done go to www.tmbw.net, the fan-created They Might Be Giants wiki. For a hi-res version of the above photo, click here. There are three free songs waiting for you when you join TMBG’s mailing list. Of course it is also entirely private and exclusive to TMBG. They will keep you informed of all live shows, video postings and free stuff, but never ever share that information. Sign up here:
