The Green Room 42 is an immersive 120-seat state-of-the-art entertainment venue in the heart of the Theater District that allows audiences to see their favorite performers up close and personal in a modern, urban environment. Upcoming performances feature Broadway stars like Alice Ripley (Tony winner for Next to Normal) and Constantine Maroulis (Tony nominated for Rock of Ages). Tickets for performances are a wallet friendly $35-$45 and there are no food or beverage minimums or prix-fixes.

The intimate room is outfitted with an elevated 21-foot stage, Yamaha grand piano and high-tech sound system. Leather banquettes lining the walls and tables in the center draw the audience to the edge of the stage. The banquettes are tagged with graffiti art by Chef Gabriel Israel (an accomplished graffiti and tattoo artist as well as chef) of the Modern Israeli Green Fig restaurant just steps away, who also created the venue's menu.

Live music features singer-songwriters performing everything from Broadway classics to contemporary favorites and original material. Upcoming shows include Tony-nominated actor and American Idol finalist Constantine Maroulis on March 12; LiLlias White (Dreamgirls, Chicago, Fela!) on March 13; and Tony winner Alice Ripley (Next To Normal, LES MISERABLES, Side Show) on April 1. Other acts include Kennedy Caughell (May 1), Paul Iacono's Psychedelic Playhouse (May 4, 5 and 6) and Robusta Capp (May 12). More information about the performers and tickets is available here: www.thegreenroom42.com (The line-up is still in formation.)

Food & Drink

Green Fig Chef Gabriel Israel developed a menu of shareable plates and riffs on American favorites. The "For Us" section is meant to share - either individually or as "the 42" with a choice of 4 dishes like Greenroom Mushrooms (king oyster mushrooms, porcini sauce, smoked mushroom crumble); Falafel Bites; Tuna Tartar with charred eggplant puree and more ($42 for 4). Larger "For Me" plates include Tajin baked Beef Kebab, Steak Frites and a BBQ Schnitzel Sandwich (fried chicken cutlet, cranberry and brussels sprout slaw, bbq sauce).

Guests can enjoy wine, beer and cocktails such as The Mexican Spy with honey habanero moonshine, lime and pineapple juice; Johnny Appleseed with Johnnie Walker black label, maple syrup, apple juice and lemon or Rosewater Martini. Five craft beers and a selection of wines round out the offerings. There are no food and beverage minimums for guests.

Bottomless Brunch featuring The Skivvies

Every Sunday, NYC's wildest new brunch features 90-minutes of unlimited prosecco drinks, delicious dishes from Chef Gabriel and music from The Skivvies, an underwear-clad duo performing clever pop-song mash-ups and eccentric originals on instruments ranging from the cello and ukulele to the glockenspiel and melodica. The menu includes cheeky dishes like Buns to Squeeze, a succulent chicken cutlet with cranberry and brussels sprout slaw; Out of the Boxers, a falafel waffle with poached egg, tahini and bacon; and The Package, featuring pita-baked beef, egg salad, tomato coulis and pickles. Along with mimosas, other boozy beverages offered include the Aunt Rosemary, gin, rosemary syrup and pineapple juice; and TLV Iced Tea, with green tea-infused vodka, St. Germain and white pepper. Brunch reservations begin at 11:30 a.m., with sets at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Tickets cost $45.

The Green Room 42 is located on the fourth floor of the YOTEL at 570 Tenth Ave. For tickets and more information: www.thegreenroom42.com.
