DUBLIN, Ohio, Feb. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ Special things only come around once a year and it's time for fish fans to celebrate the return of Wendy's North Pacific Cod sandwich. The limited-time only sandwich is back and more flavorful than ever with a new creamy dill tartar sauce and crisp pickles to help the fish sandwich faithful celebrate a tastier choice this season.

"We only offer our North Pacific Cod sandwich once a year and at Wendy's, we don't settle, we make sure we do it right," said Liz Geraghty, Wendy's vice president of marketing. "Wendy's uses what we believe is the gold standard for fried fishwild-caught North Pacific Cod. And this fish season, we're kicking up the flavor by adding new, quality ingredients to deliver on consumers' evolving tastes."

Each Cod sandwich starts with a wild-caught North Pacific cod fillet, hand-cut and lightly breaded in crispy panko crumbs. It is now topped with a cool and creamy dill tartar sauce made with pickle relish, while the addition of dill pickles and crisp lettuce gives the sandwich extra crunch all served on a toasted bun.

Fish fans can enjoy Wendy's North Pacific Cod sandwich a-la-carte or combine it with a Side Salad, Small Chili, a Baked Potato or Natural-Cut French Fries along with an icy cold beverage or classic Frosty to create a satisfying meal.

Available for a limited time only at participating Wendy's, the North Pacific Cod sandwich has a suggested price of $3.69.Price and participation may vary.
