In the past year, Broadwayworld Food and Wine has attended many of them and we were very impressed by the quality and selection of wines we sampled from around the globe. Wines of Bordeaux - It's a pleasure to sample Bordeaux wines that are accessible and pair easily with a wide variety of food. The region encompasses 275 acres of vines and a total of 65 appellations exist with the region. The moderate growing climate produces all styles of wine, red, dry white, semi-sweet and sweet wine, rose, clairet, and sparkling. Volcanic Wines International - This was the first-ever Grand Tasting of its kind. There is a fantastic range of wines that benefit from the properties of volcanic terrior throughout the world in countries that include Chile, Hungary, and the United States. Wines of Greece -Greek Winemakers returned to NYC for their annual spring Road Show to present current releases. Winemakers are crafting wines from indigenous and international varieties in Greece's diverse growing environment. This historic country is emerging as a top wine region in the world. Ribera y Reuda -The wines of Rueda and Ribera del Duero are becoming popular on restaurant wine lists and on retail shelves. These sister regions are located just two hours north of Madrid. Many wine lovers are turning to these Spanish wines for their value, character and authentic heritage. Wines of Provence - Provence is the site of France's oldest vineyards and it is the world's largest region that specializes in rose. Winemakers today benefit from the region's vast knowledge and time honored traditions and techniques. Wines of South Africa - This was a top opportunity to meet winemakers at their Roadshow event. Eight producers poured a selection of over 30 South African Wines that showcased their quality and versatility.
