In celebration of the coming winter, The Microbrewed Beer of the Month Club, a membership-based beer club which distributes rare U.S. and international craft beers on a monthly basis, announces it will feature two seasonal holiday ales in its December 2014 shipment: Newport Storm Brewery's Winter Porter and the Sticky Toffee Pudding Ale from Wells & Young's Brewing Company.

"A big part of sharing unusual, hard-to-find craft beers with members of The Microbrewed Beer of the Month Club is featuring seasonal releases that are typically brewed and sold a few months out of the year. We'll run bocks and barleywines in the spring, hefeweizens and kellerbiers in the summer, marzens in the fall, and holiday spiced ales and winter warmers when temperatures drop. This year, we found a couple that I'm really excited about: Newport Storm's Winter Porter, and Wells & Young's Sticky Toffee Pudding," says Kris Calef, president and founder of The Microbrewed Beer of the Month Club. "These are two solid beers, and they'll be sure to keep our members warm and toasty inside during the cold December evenings."

Newport Storm Brewery's Winter Porter is a 6.1% ABV porter-style ale brewed with dark chocolate malts, crystal malts, and East Kent Golding hops to create a flavorful seasonal ale. The ale is not brewed with aroma hops, which allows the malt profile to remain front and center from start to finish. Newport Storm Brewery's Winter Porter will be available in the U.S. Microbrewed Beer Club.

The Sticky Toffee Pudding Ale, a 5% ABV English Brown Ale from Wells & Young's Brewing Company, is a dessert ale brewed with pale ale malts and English Fuggles and Goldings hops. The beer is characterized by sweet caramel and toffee notes and a smoothly balanced bitter aftertaste. The Sticky Toffee Pudding Ale will be included in The International Beer Club and The U.S. and International Variety Beer Club.

Founder Kris Calef commented, "We always try to put some really fun and unique holiday beers in the club each December because so many customers are getting their first-time memberships as Christmas gifts."
