The cocktail includes chocolate and orange bitters, rum, brown sugar simple syrup and apple juice. A rum-soaked cinnamon stick gives the drink a smoky twist. Sweet Potato Old Fashioned: Sweet potato pie is a southern holiday staple in New Orleans so at Hilton Hotel Riverside they created a drink that truly has the taster reminiscing about grandma's kitchen back home. This twist on the traditional old fashioned exemplifies the flavor profile of the pie, as the hint of maple from the Crown Royal compliments the sweetness of the simple syrup while the bourbon keeps it balanced and not overpoweringly sweet. After back and forth conversation, Chef Miguel paired two together and later perfected the cocktail, adding Bailey's. The Grand Marnier meringue gives the drink a citrus twist with a Florida vibe.
