Gorham, a world leader in fine tableware, announced today that renowned chef Rick Bayless will put his Mexican culinary talents on display in his hometown during one of the most prestigious industry gatherings.

At 11 a.m. on March 8, Bayless stages a cooking demonstration at the International Home and Housewares Show that is sure to be one of the highlights for attendees all weekend at the culinary spectacle in McCormick Place along Lake Shore Drive.

Bayless' reach in the world of cuisine is as varied as the dishes that have built his critically acclaimed career, whether it's through his partnership with Lenox's Gorham division that gave birth in 2013 to "The Mexican Kitchen" cookware and housewares collection, or his many other enterprises: a national television show, his many cookbooks, his Frontera Foods line of prepared foods, along with operating multiple restaurants, some located in his sweet home Chicago and others on both coasts.

"While it's been so satisfying to share the most popular ethnic food in America with so many people in so many ways, there's something special about bringing Mexican recipes to life myself in front of an audience," said Bayless, who's been collecting a vast array of culinary awards for more than a quarter-century. "I'm thrilled to be even a small part of such a fine event right here in the city I love and call home."
