Scrumptious SKINNYPOP POPCORN Holiday Recipes  Image

Broadwayworld.com Food and Wine is sharing two unique and easy-to-make holiday recipes from one of our favorite popcorn brands, SkinnyPop. The trendy, delicious flavors of Mexican Hot Chocolate and Strawberry Champagne are made right in the bag. They are ideal for relaxing and snacking in front of the fire, bingeing on your favorite shows, or whenever you are entertaining. And be sure to keep these recipes handy to enjoy during the upcoming awards season.

Mexican Hot Chocolate Popcorn

Ingredients

1/3 cup powdered sugar

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/8 teaspoon chili pepper

4 tablespoons salted butter, melted

1 bag (4.4 ounce) SkinnyPop Popcorn

Instructions

1. Combine powdered sugar, cocoa powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cayenne pepper and chili powder in a bowl. Mix thoroughly to combine.

2. Pour melted butter into SkinnyPop bag around the sides of the bag. Close bag and shake thoroughly to coat popcorn.

3. Pour half of cocoa mixture over popcorn. Close bag and shake thoroughly. If necessary, use a long-handled spoon to turn popcorn mixture inside the bag. Pour remaining cocoa mixture onto popcorn. Close bag and continue shaking until popcorn is fully coated.

4. Transfer popcorn to a bowl for serving.

Strawberry Champagne Sparkle Popcorn

Ingredients

2 cups freeze-dried strawberries, crushed into powder

3 tablespoons powdered sugar

2 tablespoons champagne

2 tablespoons salted butter, melted

1 bag (4.4 ounce) SkinnyPop Popcorn

2 teaspoons edible glitter

Instructions

1. Combine crushed freeze-dried strawberries and powdered sugar in a bowl. Mix thoroughly to combine and set aside.

2. Whisk together champagne and melted butter. Pour into SkinnyPop bag around the sides of the bag. Close bag and shake thoroughly to coat popcorn.

3. Pour half of strawberry mixture over popcorn. Close bag and shake thoroughly. If necessary, use a long-handled spoon to turn popcorn mixture inside the bag. Pour remaining strawberry mixture onto popcorn. Close bag and continue shaking until popcorn is fully coated.

4. Transfer to a bowl for serving and sprinkle on edible glitter.
