Kenwood and De'Longhi, global leaders in food preparation, kitchen machines and espresso machines, announced that it is the exclusive small appliance partner of Plated, a premium, cook-at-home dinner delivery service. The partnership between Plated, Kenwood and De'Longhi joins together like-minded brands that help Millennials feed their hunger for experimenting and exploring in the kitchen as they prepare delicious meals and espresso-based drinks at home.

"Cooking and entertaining at home brings consumers such pleasure and both are inherent to the DNA of our brands," said Mike Prager, President and CEO, De'Longhi Group NA. "We are excited to enter into this partnership with Plated as part of our efforts to bring a sophisticated level of convenience and fun to the home with innovative, high-performing and beautifully designed products."

The partnership includes an integrated marketing mix featuring e-blasts, in-store offers, digital advertising, content generation, offline events and co-branded integrations. De'Longhi and Kenwood recently joined Plated as it embarked on a cross-country tour in nine key markets.

Outfitted with a fully functional kitchen and espresso bar, the "Road To Discovery" airstream tour included cooking demonstrations featuring Kenwood and De'Longhi products, food tastings, and talks by local tastemakers. De'Longhi barista partner and 2014 U.S. Barista Champion, Laila Ghambari, was at select locations to educate consumers on coffee culture. Many consumers can be intimidated by brewing their own espresso drinks at home, so De'Longhi, with the help of Laila, set out to change this misconception with helpful tips, tricks and techniques. The tour travelled for a total of 6,092 miles and finished in New York City in October.

"Plated was founded on the premise that the more people cook, the better they live," said Nick Taranto, co-founder and co-CEO, Plated. "We see partnerships with brands like Kenwood and De'Longhi as an extension of this philosophy. Together, we're equipping people with the know-how and high-quality ingredients to easily make delicious meals at home, while discovering foods and techniques they may not have thought of before."

Across the world, Kenwood is known as the expert in food preparation due to its British heritage of unsurpassed quality, superior performance, and meticulous and timeless design. In 2015, Kenwood will introduce the MultiPro Excel food processor. The appliance streamlines meal prep thanks to its built in scale, auto-sense function, and stainless steel slicing and shredding discs.

For more than a century, De'Longhi has blended Italian-inspired form and function, style and performance in the small appliance category. Whether creating an authentic cappuccino in the morning or a double shot of espresso for an afternoon pick me up, De'Longhi enables consumers to simply create barista or cafe-quality espresso beverages at home anytime. This month, De'Longhi will introduce the latest addition to its best-selling Lattissima line with the Lattissima Touch, combining innovative one-touch technology with Nespresso's convenient espresso capsules to easily brew up deep flavor and rich, long-lasting foam.
