This St. Patrick's Day, Padoca Bakery on the Upper East Side is offering its take on Irish soda bread, created by Pastry Chef Rachel Binder (Maialino, Tabla, Savoy). It is a classic recipe, with the addition of a cinnamon sugar dusting on top. Though Padoca is known for its creative combinations of Brazilian and Israeli influences, Binder is able to craft unique and delicious baked goods for any occasion.

More than a bakery, Padoca is a passion project of two powerhouse women, Brazilian-born Marina Halpern and Pastry Chef Rachel Binder, who joined forces to create innovative and imaginative multi-cultural baked goods with Brazilian flair, using natural, fresh and local ingredients. Named after the São Paulo word for "neighborhood bakery," Padoca seeks to evoke the sense of comfort and familiarity of a go-to neighborhood staple.

Irish Soda Bread loaves will be available from 3/13 - 3/17, with a limited quantity in-store. Pre-orders are recommended, and can be placed online at www.padocabakery.com, by calling the store at 212-300-4543, or by emailing contact@padocabakery.com. Padoca Bakery is located at 359 East 68th Street (at 1st Ave), New York, NY 10065. Hours: Monday-Friday 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
