New York Wine Events will host its inaugural North Fork Crush Wine & Artisanal Food Festival at Jamesport Vineyards in Jamesport, New York on Saturday, June 27, 2015. Festivalgoers can choose from two sessions, Afternoon: 2-5pm or Evening: 7-10pm.
The North Fork event is New York Wine Events' latest addition to their multiple annual seasonal tastings in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and New Jersey. The festival will feature over 20 wineries from Long Island and beyond with 100+ wines to taste, light accompaniments by Noah's Restaurant, plus sampling tables from local artisan food companies. Guests can meet the winemakers and key vineyard personnel, hear all about the varietals directly from the source, and also purchase any selections they like by the bottle or case. Guests will also enjoy live contemporary jazz performances taking place during each session - and be able to take home their complimentary wine tasting glass post-event.
"We're excited to present this event in the heart of Long Island wine country to showcase its superb wines and really offer wine lovers an up close and personal experience. What better way to taste the wines than in the region they are made, with the winemakers right beside them, and feasting on local artisan fare," notes S.W. Kimball, Founder, New York Wine Events.
Wine tasting tables located throughout the event site will offer a wide array of quality reds, whites, and sparking wines from the North Fork's top winemakers including Brooklyn Oenology, Coffee Pot Cellars, Harbes Winery, Jamesport Vineyards, Lenz Winery, Lieb Cellars, Long Island Merlot Alliance, Martha Clara Vineyards, Mattebella Vineyards, Osprey's Dominion, Palmer Vineyards, Raphael, Roanoke Vineyards, Saltbird Cellars, Sannino Bella Vita Vineyard, Sparkling Pointe Vineyards & Winery, Waters Crest Winery, and Brotherhood Winery (Hudson Valley, NY).
Guests will enjoy a selection of light fare by Noah's of Greenport, including artisanal charcuterie platters, assorted cheeses, locally baked breads, and fresh fruits. Select artisan food companies will be sampling an array of offerings including chocolates, baked goods, dipping oils, and more, and will also be selling full sized items to enjoy at home. Participating artisan food makers to date include Backyard Brine Pickle Co., Catapano Dairy Farm, cHarissa Authentic Seasoning, Blue Duck Bakery & Café, Le Fusion, North Fork Chocolate, North Fork Roasting Co., Really Good Fruit Spreads, and Vines & Branches.
"I am glad to be working with New York Wine Events in the inaugural launch of the North Fork Crush Wine & Artisanal Food Festival" says Ronald B. Goerler, Jr., President, Jamesport Vineyards, host winery for the event. "This is an amazing opportunity for wineries on the North Fork and East End to promote our region and bring awareness to the outstanding quality and diversity of the wines and artisanal foods produced locally."
Standard tickets for the North Fork Cruse are on sale now priced at $69. (Final week: $79) Travel packages via chartered motor coaches, hotel discounts, and group discounts are also available; see web site for complete details.
