Broadwayworld.com recently had the pleasure of attending a special chef's dinner at Café Altro Paradiso in NYC that presented a tasting of "Nature's Cut" beef from Uruguay. The James Beard Award-winning chef, Ignacio Mattos, a native of Uruguay, created wine and menu pairings.
Nature's Cut is organic and 100% grass-fed Angus beef. It is both healthy and very tasty. It has no hormones, no antibiotics, and no animal by products. We were able to sample a number of the company's delicious, tender cuts of meat that included their tenderloin, rib-eye, skirt, and rump. Grass-fed beef is leaner than grain-fed beef, it is higher in Vitamin E, and has a high ratio of omega 3 fatty acids. Raising grass-fed beef also decreases the environmental impact as well. Nature's Cut is launching in the United States market with the support of the Instituto Nacional de Carnes Uruguay.
Uruguay has become renowned for producing premium meat products. They export nearly 70% of their production to about 100 markets that include United States, China, the European Union, and the Russian Federation. The country is outstanding for their efforts to improving and protecting animal health, making certain that food products are safe and contributing to public health and sustainable development.
In addition to beef, the products of Uruguay include a wide variety of other foods. Because of their vast prairies, majestic gorges, and the great ocean, the country has an excellent setting for high-quality production. Some of the Uruguay's specialties include blueberries, caviar, citrus, honey, dairy products, olive oil, rice, premium mineral water, and their award-winning wines.
Uruguay currently produces food for almost 30 million people and they have the potential to feed 50 million. That's over ten times the country's population. Products from Uruguay, that include Natures's Cut beef, give our readers and many more the opportunity to enjoy fine, nutritious, and delicious foods.
