America's favorite snack cake maker, Little Debbie, has just introduced the brand's first treat made to celebrate mom with cakes in delicious lemon and strawberry flavors. They are available for a six-week period beginning in early April and lasting through Mother's Day and can be purchased wherever Little Debbie products are sold for a suggested retail price of $2.19 per box.
There's something distinctive about Little Debbie cakes. Not only are they tasty but they also evoke a sense of nostalgia. In fact, they have been sold for over 50 years.
Product Manager, Tara Wiese commented, "We know that moms usually are the one to treat the family to Little Debbie snacks, so we wanted to do something special this year and celebrate the moms in our lives with these special limited-edition holiday treats."
The lemon Mother's Day Cake is particularly unique, as it is the only lemon-flavored product available from Little Debbie. The strawberry cake is also a first time introduction and features vanilla creme and icing, as well as a creative pink stripe. Both were inspired by consumer demand, according to Vanessa Daniel, consumer insights analyst. "Consumer trends show that both lemon and strawberry are among the top eight trending flavors within the baked sweet goods category," she said.
In addition to enjoying Little Debbie's Mother's Day cakes, families can share the Mother's Day message printed right on the back of the box that can be used to add a personal note.
Each box contains eight individually wrapped cakes that are an ideal springtime treat and they look delightful on dessert platters. These are cakes that will please mom, friends, and family.
