New York Wine Events will host its newest event, the Brooklyn Crush Wine & Artisanal Food Festival: Spring 2015 Edition at the Factory Floor at Industry City in Sunset Park, Brooklyn on Saturday, May 2, 2015. Attendees can choose from two tasting sessions: Afternoon: 3-6pm or Evening: 8-11pm.The spring wine event will feature 200+ wines curated by Vintry Fine Wines along with light fare including hors d'oeurves, cheese and cracker selections, plus artisan food tables sampling decadent chocolates, charcuterie, dipping oils, baked goods, and more. Guests will also enjoy live jazz performances during each tasting session from acclaimed contemporary jazz guitarist JJ Sansaverino, plus take home a complimentary Brooklyn Crush wine glass post-event.

Tasting tables will be located throughout the expansive venue and feature an eclectic mix of bold reds, awesome whites, and some sparkling selections. Guests will find grape varietals from old, new and emerging wine regions from around the globe including France, Italy, Spain, the United States, South America, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and more.

A new VIP Ticket option (limited to 50 people per session) has been added to the event that includes the main tasting plus admission to a private VIP wine tasting area featuring 10 superior wines, retailing on average from $75-$125 per bottle and a premium selection of passed hors d'oeuvres. Wines will include high-end offerings from "New World" regions such as California, South America and Australia and "Old World" regions such as France, Italy and Spain.

"We're excited to be back in Brooklyn after our well-received inaugural fall event at Industry City," says S.W. Kimball, Founder, New York Wine Events. "The extensive selection of wines and live contemporary jazz will complement the hip vibe of the setting and pair well with tasty catered fare as well as numerous artisan food samples."

Musical guest Joe "JJ" Sansaverino has reached millions with his music, touring the US, Canada, Europe, Africa, Asia, the South Pacific and the Caribbean. He has worked with the best in the business, both live and in the studio, has appeared on hundreds of recordings, and was lead guitarist for the group Maxi Priest throughout the early 2000s. JJ's music features diverse guitar styles including R&B, jazz, rock, fusion and his trademark ballad style.

Brooklyn's Industry City once served as an industrial hub in the 20th century. Now revitalized as 6 million square-foot 21st century innovation and manufacturing district situated on the waterfront in Sunset Park, it also serves as home to one of the borough's most spectacular event spaces. The 22,000 square foot Factory Floor offers sprawling space, dramatic large industrial windows, and is adjacent to Industry City's planted courtyard and exceptional food hall. The venue, located in Building 1 at 233 37th Street, is easy to reach via the D, N, or R train to the 36th Street subway station. There is also convenient parking one block west of the building.

New York Wine Event's popular winter, spring, and autumn tastings in New York City and New Jersey have sold out for the last nine years, and based on the sell out crowds at last fall's Brooklyn Crush, the spring edition is poised to do the same. Once again, all artisanal food companies sampling their offerings will also have goods on hand for attendees to purchase to enjoy at home.

Sponsors and artisanal purveyors to date include: Keurig, Arv Sweets, Bonne Fete Baking, Inc., Bridge Lane Wine, Brooklyn Delhi, Brooklyn Oyster Party, Chocodiem, Cutco, da Rosario, Dove Chocolate Discoveries, Granola Lab, Green Mountain Energy, Les Trois Petits Cochons, Li-Lac Chocolates, The Luscious Little Dessert Company, Palmer Vineyards, Sucre Bleu, and Traci Lynn Jewelry. More to be added shortly; check web site for details.

Brooklyn Crush Wine & Artisanal Food Festival: Spring 2015 Edition tickets are on sale now. Tickets range from $69.00 (early bird pricing, only while supplies last) to $89 (final week), with the VIP Ticket option starting at $179. Space is limited at the festival; advance purchase is recommended.
