Hakkasan New York is restaurant destination for Midtown guests and theatergoers who want to enjoy the finest Cantonese cuisine along with a top-notch beverage program. From the minute you step in the door, experience the outstanding hospitality that delights New Yorkers and guests around the globe.

Hakkasan in the Broadway Theatre District offers a wonderfully curated menu that has been created exclusively for their New York restaurant by International Executive Chef Ho Chee Boon. It reflects local flavors, the city's influences, and includes Hakkasan's signature dishes that are served at each of the eleven restaurants worldwide. The variety of starters, entrees, sides and desserts offer something for all tastes and dietary preferences.

We stopped by on a Wednesday night for a pre-theatre dinner. We let our server know the time of our performance and the staff made sure that we got to our show with plenty of time to spare. We started our meal with a few small plates. A house specialty is the Hakka Steamed Dim Sum Platter that is perfect for table sharing. It includes Scallop Shumai, Har Gau, Prawn and Chinese Chive Dumpling, and Black Pepper Dumpling. This distinctive array of dumplings is not to be missed and will likely be one of your favorite dishes whenever you visit. The Jasmine Tea Smoked Pork Ribs are some of the most tender and flavorful we've ever had. The distinctive Duck Salad is a taste sensation with pomelo, pine nut, and shallot.

For a main, we highly recommend the Crispy Silver Cod with Superior Soy Sauce. The savory seasoning is an ideal complement for the delicate fish. Meat lovers will relish the Stir-fry Black Pepper Rib-Eye with Merlot. Be sure to order a delightful side with your meal like the Stir-fry Lotus Root, Asparagus and Black Pepper or the Hakka Noodle with Mushrooms and Chinese Chive. You can be sure that each plate you order will arrive at your table beautifully presented, a feast for the eyes and the palate.

Save a Little Room for tempting desserts that includes Passion Fruit & Chocolate, Ice Cream and Sorbets and Coconut & Lychee Mousse. These treats will top off any meal and give you a reason to linger just a little longer and enjoy an aperitif, coffee or tea.

The beverage program at Hakkasan reflects the same creativity and attention that is evident in their excellent cuisine. Pairing options are made easy with a fine wine list by the glass or bottle, a top selection of beers, sake, and of course, artisanal cocktails. Mixologist Weston Lou has designed drinks you won't find anywhere else like the Flower & Stone with Bombay Sapphire East Gin, apricot, strawberry, fennel, yuzu, rhubarb and mint or the Serpent's Tongue with Woodford Reserve Bourbon, honey syrup, fresh lemon crushed ginger and pepper.

A visit to Hakkasan defines casual elegance with the finest service and top cuisine for a truly memorable dining experience. Find out why people in the know make Hakkasan New York a go-to spot for dining pleasures.
