The second leg of the Gorton's Seafood Smart & Crunchy Tour begins this week with a two-day stop at the Houston Children's Festival followed by visits to Los Angeles and Seattle.

Gorton's national tour for the company's new Smart & Crunchy Fish Sticks began Feb. 27 in Peabody, Massachusetts, and provided thousands of free fish stick samples, giveaways, and photo opportunities with eight-foot tall Smart & Crunchy mascot Smarty Crunchman during three East Coast stops.

Gorton's, founded in 1849, invented the frozen fish stick and introduced the now-iconic finger food to American dinner plates in 1953. Smart & Crunchy Fish Sticks, aka Fish Stick 2.0, are never fried and have 50 percent less fat and 180 calories per serving compared to Gorton's classic breaded fish sticks.

The new fish sticks and Smart & Crunchy Fish Fillets, are made with 100 percent wild-caught Alaska Pollock, breaded in a panko coating for a great taste and crunch. Smart & Crunchy products are available nationwide at major supermarkets.

The Smart & Crunchy Tour experience includes a branded 18-foot long food truck, a pop-up, kid-friendly dipping bar where the public can provide first-bite feedback on iPads, fun Gorton's giveaways and the chance to enter a sweepstakes fora $10,000family vacation.

The tour will be at the Hollywood and Highland Center in Los Angeles April 11, and at the Northgate Mall in Seattle April 17-18.
