Earth Day is next Friday, April 22nd, and many New Yorkers will be doing their part to show support for Mother Nature during the lead up. At Upper East Side craft-cocktail bar The Gilroy, owner Joseph D'Angelo has put together a special event for the occasion.
In partnership with Milano Green Vodka, The Gilroy will be serving up a bevy of Milano Green cocktails inspired by earthly elements. The event will take place this Sunday, April 17th, starting from 6pm through the night. A portion of the sales from every specialty Milano Green cocktail sold will be donated to 'Trees New York' to help plant, preserve, and protect New York City's urban forest. And as the weather this Sunday looks to be serving up a lot of sunshine with temps in the 70's, it's the perfect time to get out of the apartment, enjoy a great cocktail on The Gilroy's patio, and support our city and our planet.
The Gilroy is located at 1561 Second Avenue, New York, NY. Call 212-744-1100 or visit: www.thegilroynyc.com. Hours of operation: Open everyday 5PM-4AM. Specials offered during happy hour (5PM-7PM) include discounts on beers and a selection of cocktails, including one special feature created each week. Weather permitting, there is al fresco seating for 28. There is an excellent space in the back room that can be rented out for private events.
