"Bagels and Lox Day" is on Friday, February 9th but this favorite dish can be enjoyed each and every day at Junior's Restaurants. We stopped by the popular Times Square eatery on Broadway at 49th Street on a Saturday for breakfast. The morning meal is served from 6:45 am to 10:45 am in their welcoming, vibrant setting.
Junior's "Nova Bagel" menu item is served with smoked salmon, cream cheese, tomato, red onion and capers on an open-faced bagel. It is wonderfully presented and you can order it any time of the day. The New York style bagel is lightly toasted accompanied by a generous portion of the finest lox. Use the garnishes and put it together just the way you like it. We found it to be a perfect table share.
While we love Junior's Nova Bagel, there are other breakfast items that you will definitely want to try. There's a great selection of egg dishes like Classic Eggs Benedict or Steak and Eggs served with toast and your choice of home fries, grits or sliced tomato. Our server Derrick suggested the Corned Beef Omelet. Light and fluffy, it is filled with tender, lean meat. For those with a morning sweet tooth, there are Griddle Cakes and French Toast. And on the light side, you can enjoy a Yogurt, Berries and Granola Parfait or Oatmeal with Raisins and Cinnamon. The menu has a selection of beverages that will suit all tastes and styles from juices, coffees, and teas to sodas, shakes, and cocktails.
We chatted for a moment with General Manager Ross Hoffman who told us that breakfast at Junior's Restaurant is a very popular meal. And we know why. The food we sampled was delicious and the portions were generous.
With two locations in the Times Square area, Junior's Restaurants are perfect for theatergoers. It's a go-to breakfast spot that will make your mornings shine as bright as the neighborhood lights.
Junior's Restaurants have multiple locations that include Brooklyn, Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut, Boca Raton, 45th Street between Broadway and 8th Avenue, and Broadway at 49th Street.
