Peninsula's fine dining restaurant, Clement will offer early evening fine dining savings to salute the 2015 edition of Broadway Week - Jan. 20 to Feb. 5 when 22 Broadway shows will offer two-for-one tickets.
Clement Restaurant & Bar has raised the curtain on one of the city's best culinary deals by giving pre-theatre diners the run of its à la carte menu and complimentary transportation to the show for just $43. Theater-goers and bargain hunting foodies dining at Clement can now choose any appetizer, any entrée and any dessert from a menu on which the average entrée alone costs $44-plus, or a dollar-and-change more than the entire three-course pre-theatre dinner special.
Highlights of Chef Brandon Kida's current seasonally attuned contemporary American menu include Risotto, white truffle, Comte cheese and Mushroom, foraged and farmed mushrooms, Carolina heirloom ice, mushroom tea and Foie Gras, Concord grape, Japanese peppercorns, brioche among the appetizers. While some entrée stand-outs are: Lobster, Anson Mill grits, fall bean salad, Suckling Pig, seckel pear, kohlrabi, ginger jam and 24 oz. 120 Day Dry Aged Rib Eye, smoked potatoes, natural jus.
And for dessert, Executive Pastry Chef Deden Putra's offers such treats as Chocolate Layer Cake, light chocolate ganache, Godiva white chocolate ice cream and Apple Spice Cake, cinnamon mousseline, salted caramel ice cream and Winter Fruit Confit, chocolate cremeux, chestnut streusel ice cream.
Clement's new $43 Pre-Theatre Special, a three-course dinner based on the restaurant's regular à la carte menu and complimentary transportation to the show, is available Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30 to 6:30 pm and will run through 2015 as showstopper of a deal.
