There's a reason that Planet Hollywood is so well-known. It is an ideal destination for many types of visitors to the Times Square area. Sightseeing families and groups like the abundance of movie memorabilia, big screen televisions and tasty menu items. What better place to bring out the kid in you? Yet, it is this same energy that gives Planet Hollywood a vibrant bar scene perfect for a date or to meet up with friends. This is a spot for conversation, spurred by the iconic pop-culture that Planet Hollywood is famous for. And, the full menu is served at the comfortable, spacious bar.

Planet Hollywood specializes in giant drinks, often standard recipes with distinctive twists and turns. The popular "Indecent Proposal" elevates the usual margarita with cointreau and grand marnier. Over the years, the drink menu has included beverages inspired by The Dark Knight, Iron Man, and Legally Blonde, along with enduring cult recipes such as the fruity-flavored "Wayne's World." Best of all, each one is available in a giant souvenir glass.

Planet Hollywood's best-known appetizer is the "World Famous Chicken Crunch," which is garnished with shaved carrots and served with a side of creole mustard. Distinctively presented, the recipe itself is unique to Planet Hollywood. The coating for each tender is made using Captain Crunch and Cornflakes, which means that the overall taste is pleasantly sweet rather than salty. Simply put, this is leagues above your average chicken tender.

Another popular favorite is their 10-ounce BBQ Bacon Cheddar burger. But, there are also a variety of grill recipes, from classic ribs to blackened mahi-mahi. And you can follow your meal with a slice of the house cheesecake or a hand-dipped milkshake. If you want a dessert made for sharing, they specialize in wonderful ice cream sundaes served in a unique Planet Hollywood glass.

Planet Hollywood is open 7 days a week for lunch, dinner and after the theater. They are located at 1540 Broadway in the heart of Times Square. Call (212) 333-7827 or visit their web site at http://www.planethollywoodintl.com/locations/new-york/.
