Bar of the Week: MONARCH ROOFTOP in Herald Square for Top Food, Drink and Views

Monarch Rooftop & Indoor Lounge is one of our favorites. The nice weather welcomes guests to enjoy the great outdoors, 17 floors above midtown, with fantastic views. It's also an all-weather spot with generous indoor space. You'll like the style. The venue recently underwent a redesign that features tropical greenery and vibrant colors. And there are many seating options to suit parties of all sizes.

Monarch Rooftop's 35th Street and 6th Avenue location makes it an ideal place to visit when shopping in Herald Square, commuting from Penn, visiting MSG or heading uptown to the theatre district. Service is friendly and prompt, making sure you have a great experience.

There are great food and drink options and the spring/summer menu is now available. Wines by the glass or bottle, beers, and cocktails offer something for everyone. Some of the outstanding artisanal drinks include "Strawberry Fields" with Captain Morgan Silver Rum, Pimms, Strawberry, Balsamic Vinegar, Basil and Lemon, topped with Ginger Ale or the "Summerbody" with Plymouth Gin, Muddled Cucumber & Kale, Lime, Jasmine Essence, and a Splash of Soda Water.

Enjoy small plates that pair wonderfully with the beverage program. Their fresh Guacamole and Chips are popular snack. We like their selection of Flatbreads, their delicious Beef Sliders, Tiger Shrimp Dumplings, Pommes Frites and more.

If you're having a Memorial Day "Staycation" stop by Monarch Rooftop & Indoor Lounge. They will be hosting a Frosé All Day party, all weekend. Starting on Friday, Monarch will offer Frosé, a Frozen Rosé Wine and Fresh Watermelon cocktail for $17.
