Bar of the Week: DEMPSEYS PUB in the East Village of NYC

Dempsey's Pub is our "Bar of the Week." This great spot in the East Village has been a beloved Manhattan bar for over two decades. Now they are rolling out an exciting schedule of new nightly programing to keep New Yorkers entertained and coming back for more all summer and throughout the year.

Dempsey's wants to bring something fun and different to their East Village neighborhood, so they partnered with Trivia NYC, New York's best and longest-running weekly trivia series featured on Law & Order: SVU, for Monday ' Downtown Game Night,' and Wednesday 'Drunken Smartass Olympics.' This setting will surely encourage patrons to partner up and make friends as each game is a group effort!

Game Night on Mondays 7PM: Downtown Game Night will feature 3 games. The night will unfold with some fun trivia, a second game that will rotate each week, and close with a Buzzed Spelling Bee. Live Music on Tuesdays 8PM: Not into game participation? What about live music!? Irish Traditional Music Seisiun lead by John Nevin is New York City's longest running open seisiun (which means ALL are welcome)! Every other week the pub hosts a special guest artist to lead the session. Thus far its been a top notch line up including Linda Hickman, Patrick Mangan, John Redmond, Tony DeMarco, Martin O'Connell, and many more.

Drunken Smartass Olympics on Wednesdays 7PM: The Drunken Smartass Olympics is New York's longest-running and best-attended quiz for over nine years now. It's the flagship of Trivia NYC's operation, it's been a magnet for celebrities, Jeopardy champions and quizzers from around the world. http://www.trivianyc.net/live/quiz-wednesdays-dempseys/
