From the moment you enter The Heath at the McKittrick Hotel in Chelsea, you know that your dining experience will be truly distinctive and pleasurable. The atmosphere is chic and stylish, with a theatrical feel that entices the senses. The décor has rich woods, comfortable seating, soft pendant lighting and neat white tablecloths; this spot is completely welcoming. The dining experience is in the spirit of the ever-popular Sleep No More immersive experience, also located in the McKittrick Hotel.

You will also be delighted by the attentive service and the hosts and hostesses in formal attire who are ready to chat with you a bit while you relax at the bar or dine. The 1930's and 40's style is highlighted by the music of the four piece jazz band that provides perfect background music.

We had the pleasure of meeting Chef R.L King who prepares specialties that are classic British and American menu items with a real gourmet flair. King sources ingredients locally and regionally with a farm to table approach; his specials that reflect seasonal offerings.

We started our culinary experience with their nightly cocktail special, Drunk Punch ($15). An excellent selection of mixed drinks, beer and wines complement your menu choices. Their Cheese Board ($25) or their Pickle Pot ($11) of seasonal vegetables are perfect for table sharing. We tried one their many popular specialties, the Fisherman's Pie ($30) with a delicious blend of seafood and a perfectly baked crust served with mashers. For a side, we enjoyed their Woodland Mushrooms ($9). Top off your meal with their fabulous desserts like Sticky Toffee Cake or Nutella Icebox Cake ($9).

The Heath at the McKittrick Hotel in Chelsea has the charm and hospitality of a bygone area. It is perfect for a special date or a celebration with friends and family. Reservations are suggested. For more information, visit their web site at http://mckittrickhotel.com/.
