Review: JUNIORS RESTAURANT Now Open on Broadway at 49th Street for Delicious NY Faves and More

Fans of Junior's Restaurant really have something to celebrate. The newest location on Broadway at 49th Street offers a menu of their renowned classics in a spacious, vibrant setting. It's everything you love about Junior's with delicious food, top-notch service and more. Stop by for breakfast, lunch, dinner or anytime eats. And they feature a full-service bar with wine, beer, and cocktails along with a fantastic bakery. We stopped by on a Thursday evening for dinner just before the theatre. There are so many great selections on the menu that it was hard to choose. We started with an irresistible new appetizer. The savory Reuben Egg Rolls are stuffed with Corned Beef, Swiss Cheese and Sauerkraut in a crunchy, delicate wrap. Junior's entree portions are generous and arrive at your table wonderfully presented. The "Something Different" is a sandwich you won't find anywhere else. Tender Brisket of Beef is layered between Potato Pancakes with Au Jus or Mushroom Gravy and Apple Sauce. We also enjoyed their Fried Chicken Dinner, a homestyle meal as good as you'll ever have. The tender, juicy chicken has a light crispy crust and is served with mashed potatoes and greens.

We also like that you can have a light meal at Junior's with a top selection of salads and soups. There is something on the menu to suit everyone's dietary preferences. Some of their customer favorites include fresh seafood like Scallops and Cod or Crabcake on Grilled Portobello, There are also Steakburgers, Shrimp or Chicken Parmesean dinners served with linguine, and, of course, traditional NY deli sandwiches..

Don't leave Junior's Restaurant without one of their scrumptious desserts to round out your meal or stop by for a slice of their world-famous cheesecake and coffee. There are also sweet delights like layer cakes, cookies and brownies. We enjoyed one of our favorites, strawberry cheesecake. Rich and creamy, it is topped with fresh strawberry compote. For those that are in the mood for a cool, refreshing treat, Junior's also soda fountain favorites like milk shakes, ice cream sodas, and sundaes.

Junior's Restaurant is an iconic establishment. Founded by Harry Rosen almost seven decades ago, Junior's first landmark restaurant is on Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn.
