Enjoy a true taste of France. Jean Le Gourmand, the creperie that originated across the Atlantic in Brittany, is delighting New Yorkers with light, delicious crepes in the West Village of NYC. This is the very first location that the French specialty restaurant has debuted in the United States. Accessible and affordable, do a quick grab and go or enjoy your crepe in their modern, comfortable venue that features an open kitchen. It's a great place to relax for a while and overlook 6th Avenue. Crepes start at $2 with no varieties over $10.
Sweet or savory? Jean Le Gourmand has a generous selection of both. Have a breakfast crepe or indulge in lunch or dinner selections. The crepe batter is made fresh daily from a proprietary recipe, using the finest ingredients and a special blend of flours. You will also like seeing the crepes being made. Jean Le Gourmand has a revolutionary machine that makes their delicate crepes to perfection in only 20 seconds.
We stopped by for an early breakfast on the way to work and savored a crepe filled with spinach, mushrooms and cheese. The large, perfectly cooked crepe was a fantastic meal to start the day along with a cup of coffee. Other tempting crepe selections are bacon, egg and cheese; ham and cheese; chicken and cheese; and salmon, guacamole and cheddar. Sweet choices include goat cheese and honey; Nutella and banana; and fruit fillings like apricot, strawberry or blueberry jam.
You can even purchase a package of freshly made crepes to fill at home and enjoy. They make an excellent holiday treat for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Jean Le Gourmand serves the very best French crepes. The innovative creperie concept is by The Blachère Group, that also operates the Marie Blachère bakery.
