A visit to Broadway would not be complete without a dining experience to cherish. And that's just what you'll experience at Blue Fin. This contemporary seafood restaurant beckons you to enter with its cool blue lighting on the corner of 7th Avenue and 47th Street. Once inside, the venue is a retreat from the hustle and bustle of Times Square, a chance to relax and feast in style. Blue Fin features a contemporary design by with a classic New York feel. The street level space has a sushi and raw bar, along with a bar and lounge area, while the upstairs houses a bar, generous dining space, and a private dining room option.

Executive Chef Juan Carlos Ortega and Executive Sushi Chef, Boo Lim have designed lunch and dinner menus that are absolutely tantalizing. And you stop by for drinks and small plates anytime. Blue Fin presents selections to suit all tastes and dietary preferences. We visited on a Thursday night just before the theatre.

Blue Fin's sushi menu is a neighborhood standout with traditional and specialty choices. Choose from Sushi & Sashimi, Sushi Rolls, and Dressed Sushi. We enjoyed a house favorite, The Times Square Roll with crab, spicy Hamachi, mango, avocado and yuzu-miso. Other tempting specialty items includes their Miso Chile Lobster Salmon Roll, the Red Hot Roll, and the Eel Avocado Roll.

You'll like the appetizer selection with raw bar choices, a Shellfish Tower, and an array of creative, fresh salads that includes the Market Chopped Salad with rainbow kale, yellow peaches, roasted grapes, marinated feta, Italian olives and croutons. And it's the perfect season for their savory Summer Corn & Maine Lobster Bisque with a mini corn muffin, lobster salad and chervil.

Blue Fin's entrees are beautifully served in generous portions. Their Halibut a la Plancha is a delicious pasta and seafood dish with jumbo lump crabmeat, lemon herb gnocchi and roasted squash. We look forward to returning soon for one of the house favorites, the Thai Seafood Hot Pot with lobster, shrimp, calamari, littlenecks mussels, and kaffir lime leaf. For those who prefer meat dishes, there is a nice selection like their Sullivan County Farms Chicken or Creekstone Farms Filet Mignon. You can also round out your meal with sides that make for great table shares like Crispy Cauliflower, Charred Corn & Lump Crabmeat, Lobster Mashed Potatoes or Charred Broccoli.

Pairing your meal with drinks is made easy at Blue Fin. They have an impressive selection of wines, beer, craft cocktails and "refreshers" that can be spiked with your favorite spirits if you wish. We enjoyed two of their fantastic, original cocktails. The Seasonal Cosmopolitan has Ketel One Citroen Vodka, Combier lOriginal, Elderflower and Pear. The Szechuan Sour is a mix of Langley No. 8 Gin, Yuzu,& Kaffir Lime Leaf with Szechuan Peppercorn.

Dessert anyone? Housemade Lemon Blueberry Pie, Coconut Crème Brulee and fruity sorbets can top off your meal. If you're headed for a show, Blue Fin has Theater Treats To Go with warm chocolate chip cookies or caramel popcorn that are perfect for intermission.

Don't miss an opportunity to have a meal at Blue Fin. It will likely become one of your favorite spots for breakfast, lunch, dinner or brunch whenever you are visiting the Times Square neighborhood.
