Cheese lovers unite. One Hour Cheese is a book that will give you a new appreciation for this favorite food. Written by Claudia Lucero, she is the entrepreneur behind UrbanCheesecraft.com and DIY Cheese Kits. Lucero is also the developer of the popular Williams-Sonoma's home cheese making Kits. Published by Workman Press, this book makes the art of creating delicious cheeses a pleasure.

One Hour Cheese combines a little bit of science, culinary expertise, love and lots of creativity. There is a little equipment needed but chances are you already have much of it in your kitchen like a sturdy cook pot, a pair of rubber gloves dedicated to cheese making, a thermometer and fine cheesecloth.

One Hour Cheese is a real step-by-step guide to preparing cheeses that can be accomplished with ease. Some of the recipes use as little as four ingredients. This book is especially versatile with levels that include Easy, Easier and Easiest. I preferred to start with the "Easiest" and work up from there. There's also nice variety of cheeses presented, ones that will appeal to every taste.

The photographs are excellent and make the processes very clear. The photos of the finished products are delightful and inspire you to hone your skills. I especially appreciate the tips for presentation. along with the recipe suggestions for pairings and accompaniments.

The next time you serve classic cottage cheese, Chivo Fresco, or Chipotle-Lime Oaxace and receive a bevy of compliments, you can actually say, "I made it myself" thanks to One Hour Cheese.
