BWW Previews: SRO in NYC has Academy Awards Screening and Special Dining

The 87th annual Academy Awards are on Sunday, February 22nd. And SRO pizza speakeasy will be taking over the Espoleta restaurant space and screening the big night on a large projector screen for patrons. The dining area will be transformed for the evening's viewing party, and the SRO menu will be served all night.

SRO, which stands for Single Room Occupancy, is situated in an inconspicuous 24-seat room illuminated by the glowing embers of a traditional wood-burning Neapolitan pizza oven. But for one night only, it will expand and take over the chandelier-filled Espoleta.

SRO will be offering the regular $38 three-course tasting menu, including a choice of appetizer, pizza, and dessert, as well as three beverage pairings (wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks). With the exception of the classic Margherita and Adriani's famous fried Montanara, which are also available, the pizzas will be Giulio Adriani's whimsical daily creations.

World-Champion Pizzaiolo Giulio Adriani created SRO as a kitchen where he can exercise his creative whims for a select crowd of pizza aficionados. SRO hosts customers in a convivial, interactive, and intimate setting where guests are able to enjoy his unique culinary creations while feeling right at home.

But for this special night, the amazing SRO pizzas will be available to a larger audience and served while patrons enjoy the Oscars.
