The Upper West Side Indian restaurant, Savoury has launched a new Chor Bazaar bar menu, which allows guests to enjoy nibbles at the bar with drinks. This newly opened, stylish spot has a welcoming bar area, with comfortable seating for after work drinks, and get-togethers. Chor Bazaar refers to the famous flea market in India, which gained a notorious reputation for selling stolen goods. As a playful nod to this, Chef/Owner Lala Sharma has "stolen" some of Southern India's sauces and flavors and fused them with Northern Indian regional dishes.

The menu introduces Shrimp Pondicherry, which features succulent shrimp in a tangy sauce laced with mustard seeds and curry leaves, served with garlic bread, and Murg Kulcha, Indian bread stuffed with tender chicken, onions, herbs and spices, served with cooling raita for dipping. Other dishes include Chef Sharma's signature baby lamb chops, flavored with yogurt & Indian spices and served with his special sauce.

Additionally, Savoury introduces a new Monday night bar special, offering a choice of Chicken Tikka Masala or Vegetable Tikka Masala with rice for $10.

Complement bar bites with their newest selections of wines, featuring moderately priced by-the-glass and bottle selections that were carefully chosen to pair well with Indian flavors. The list includes an entire Riesling section, as the sweetness of the varietal tends to balance the heat of spicier dishes. The complete wine list is below. On Monday evenings, all glasses of wine will be offered for $8. In addition, guests can also enjoy a selection of beers, including Indian beers like Kingfisher, Taj Mahal, and 1947.

Savoury is located at 489 Columbus Ave., between 83rd & 84th Streets. Call 212-875-1400 for reservations and complete menu, visit www.savourynyc.com for more information.
